What is "The Rock Underground"?

Rock underground is a full-service music school specializing in "CRED"—Cool Rock Ed. Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advanced player, we have a program for you. Our goal is to teach music and to get our students on stage performing live which will give them confidence in not only playing music but in everyday life!
How does the program work?

Our programs include a monthly membership. Every week, the student will receive a 45-minute lesson with one of our accredited instructors. In that lesson, they will learn music theory and how to play specific songs based on the Theme Show of the season. Once per week for a live 90-minute session, the student will join other players for a live, highly-supervised rehearsal where they will practice their songs together, in one of our live rooms. The students will be rehearsing for one or more shows that will be performed at a local club or venue at the end of the semester. The Rock Underground also offers weekly lessons for those who want to learn an instrument before they actually get on stage and perform.

What makes rock underground different from the other music schools?

Aside from our RockStarters and our theme show program, we offer a unique original song writing and recording program for individuals who want to learn the art of writing and recording music, or indie bands who need some direction. Students can work with our recording engineers or our music instructors who specialize in original music.
What else does the rock underground offer?

Each semester The Rock Underground performs a theme show which is based on a specific artist, genre or era in music. Students take a weekly lesson where they learn instrument proficiency and music theory. Rockers in this program attend a weekly 90-minute rehearsal jam with their band members. Students prepare for the live show that takes place at the end of the semester at a local venue where parents, grandparents and friends can come and watch their Rock Star live on stage. Tuition is $295.00 per month. This includes a weekly 45-minute lesson and a weekly 90-minute highly supervised group/band/ensemble rehearsal with our Musical Director, free live shows and free instrument maintenance.
'ERA' - Emerging Recording Artists Originals Program

Our experienced recording engineers offer their services for any band who wants to come in and record music in our studio. We also rent out rehearsal space on a weekly or monthly basis to bands needing a fully-loaded rehearsal space with high-end gear.
